Examples of the types of electrical work we do:

• Full house rewires
• Changing of consumer units (fuse boxes)
• Adding and moving sockets switches etc.
• Full periodic tests
• Out side lights etc...

Alan is qualified to do everything electrical in a domestic house. Although Alan is primarily a heating engineer and plumber recent regulations (Part P of the building regs) have made it necessary to become qualified in domestic electrics.

As a plumber it was necessary to employ an electrican to sign off work like electric showers, boilers, even immersion heaters and pumps. This made things more expensive for the customers and so it was necessary to become qualified in Domestic Electrics.

The qualifications that Alan holds are:-

Intermediate Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers    100/4501/6.

This qualification was awarded by EMTA awards on behalf of ECA, NICEIC, Summit and QCA.

The course was run at Worcester Collage of Technology and was completed in July 2007.
